Huston, we have a problem
Wow, today we went to Cape Canaveral to the Kennedy Space Center, kind of NASA museum. We learned a lot about NASA work and watched an amazing 3D movie that showed the last launches and tasks astronauts did in space fixing telescope Hubble. It was beautiful. It turns out a lot of the space research contributes to life on this Earth, like cellular technology, food preservation, textile industry and much more, It makes you appreciate earth. Yuval went on a ride that simulates a real shuttle launch and had lots of fun. It was very educating and impressing.
There is a memorial section in the Museum commemorating all astronauts that lost their lives on different missions, among them was the first Israeli astronaut, Ilan Ramon, who was a member of the Columbia shuttle.
At night we went to sleep at probably our last Hampton Inn for the trip, at Fort Pierce. At night we were greeted by thunderstorms.
Pics coming soon...
